We are seeking a Software Engineer to support a Radio Frequency Business Unit. The successful candidate will be collaborative, open, transparent, and team-oriented. This role involves designing, developing, operating, and maintaining software components and computing systems for engineering, scientific, and manufacturing requirements. The position requires applying appropriate standards and procedures throughout the system development life cycle, including requirements, design, coding, testing, and integration.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, operate, and maintain software components and computing systems software.
- Apply appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle.
- Interface with customers, application users, and other technical and support personnel.
- Develop software for an enterprise-wide digital transformation using Agile practices.
- Contribute to a team focused on empowerment, shared responsibility, flexibility, continuous learning, and automation.
Required Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar engineering discipline is required. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years of engineering experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 3 years of experience with a Master's degree.
Technical Skills:- Object-Oriented Programming in C++.
- Experience creating Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs).
- Familiarity with software architecture, including design patterns and object-oriented design.
- Familiarity with relational database management systems using SQL.
- Experience developing software for Windows Operating Systems.
- Experience with software development methodologies such as Waterfall or Agile.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, ClearCase) and Agile planning tools (e.g., Jira, Rally).
Preferred Qualifications
- Secret Clearance is HIGHLY Preferred for this position
- Experience with Object-Oriented Programming in C++11.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Batch.
- Experience testing, debugging, and integrating software on target hardware platforms.
- Experience with the Qt framework.
- Experience with DOORs requirements management.
- Demonstrated leadership, teamwork capability, and interpersonal communication skills.
