Description
We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join our team on a contract basis in Minnetonka, Minnesota. This role is ideal for professionals with extensive experience in marketing or advertising environments, particularly those who excel at analyzing and interpreting data to drive actionable insights. Responsibilities:
Gather, clean, and organize data from various marketing and advertising sources to ensure accuracy and usability.
Design, develop, and maintain advanced dashboards, primarily utilizing Tableau, to visualize campaign performance.
Utilize tools like Alteryx and ETL processes to transform and integrate complex datasets from multiple platforms.
Automate workflows to streamline reporting and enhance data visualization processes.
Analyze marketing metrics such as impressions, conversion rates, and audience segmentation to provide actionable insights.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and creative departments, to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
Leverage additional dashboarding tools like Looker, Power BI, and Datarama to complement Tableau capabilities.
Present data-driven recommendations based on historical trends and campaign performance metrics.
Apply critical thinking to identify opportunities for optimization within marketing strategies.
Requirements
Extensive experience working with advertising and marketing data, including metrics like click-through rates and conversion analysis.
Advanced proficiency in Tableau, with a focus on dashboard design, user interaction, and real-time analytics.
Strong skills in Python and Apache Spark for data manipulation and analysis.
Familiarity with Apache Hadoop and Apache Kafka for managing large-scale data operations.
Expertise in ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data efficiently.
Experience with Alteryx or similar tools for automating workflows and integrating datasets.
Ability to communicate complex data insights in a clear and compelling manner to support strategic decisions.
Knowledge of digital marketing analytics, media reporting, and customer journey analysis.
