Summary

Job Title:- Solution Architect (Infrastructure)

Location:- Poughkeepsie, NY (Primarily Remote – onsite ~1x/month)

Overview:
The client is seeking a Solution Architect who can operate at both the project and enterprise level, designing scalable, secure, and resilient technology solutions while partnering closely with Enterprise Architecture and Architecture Review Boards. This individual will drive solution design across applications, data, infrastructure, and security domains while helping establish architectural standards and governance.
Key Responsibilities:
Design scalable, secure, and maintainable enterprise solutions aligned with architectural standards.
Lead solution architecture efforts across multiple technology domains and projects.
Evaluate technologies and recommend fit-for-purpose solutions balancing cost, scalability, and sustainability.
Partner with Enterprise Architects and Architecture Review Boards to review and approve solution designs.
Define non-functional requirements, architecture documentation, diagrams, standards, and governance artifacts.
Drive alignment across business, technical, and leadership stakeholders through influence and collaboration.
Identify opportunities to reduce technical debt and improve operational efficiency.
Required Experience:
Proven Solution Architecture experience spanning applications, infrastructure, data, and security.
Strong enterprise architecture understanding with ability to evaluate complex systems and tradeoffs.
Experience working with Architecture Review Boards, governance processes, and architectural standards.
Strong documentation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to create architecture diagrams and communicate complex concepts clearly.
Experience balancing strategic objectives with practical project delivery realities.
