Genesis10 is currently seeking a Java Feature Lead for a hybrid position (3 days per week onsite) with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX or Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role is for a Feature Lead with strong knowledge in Core Java design and coding. The successful candidate will develop, enhance, debug, and test software applications within a financial domain, participating in the design and implementation of complex solutions using new technologies. This position involves providing technical direction, gathering business requirements, and collaborating with internal and external teams.
Responsibilities: - Develop, enhance, debug, support, maintain, and test software applications
- Participate in the design, development, and implementation of complex applications
- Provide technical direction and system architecture for individual initiatives
- Attend business discussions and workshops to gather and analyze requirements
- Transform requirements into a technical flow aligned with the existing project framework
- Lead projects and direct team activities related to special initiatives
- Collaborate with external programmers to coordinate software application delivery
- Contribute to automation, causal analysis, and the development of shared/common solutions
Requirements: - 8-10 years of relevant IT experience, preferably within a financial domain
- Good working experience and knowledge in JAVA/J2EE, Kafka, REST API, Spring framework, Mulesoft, and GIT
- Strong knowledge of XML, JSON and its usage within API and Microservice implementations
- Familiarity with Eclipse IDE, WebLogic Application server or JBoss
- Strong experience in Integration Technologies such as Mule ESB & IDE
- Hands-on working experience with Oracle, proficient in creating SQL scripts and procedures
- Knowledge of Test-Driven Development and Unit Testing (Cucumber/Litmus, JUnit)
- Experience with containerization, cloud deployments, and CI/CD frameworks (Jenkins, Bitbucket)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Analytical thinking, attention to detail, team leadership, and problem-solving skills
Desired skills: - Knowledge and working experience in an Agile Framework
- Bachelor's Degree in a Technical Field
- Mule Certification
Pay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hour
