Responsibilities:
Role Summary
The Endpoint Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the organization’s global endpoint ecosystem. This role focuses on automating the full lifecycle of physical devices and virtual desktops to deliver a secure, scalable, and seamless zero‑touch employee experience.
As a subject matter expert, you will lead Apple and Windows device management and cloud-based virtual desktop infrastructure, partnering closely with Service Desk, Security, and IT Operations teams.
Technical Environment

· Windows & Android: Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager
· Virtual Desktop: Amazon WorkSpaces (AWS)
· Scripting & Automation: PowerShell, Bash, Python
Key Responsibilities
1. Unified Endpoint Management (UEM)
Own day‑to‑day operations, system maintenance, and patch management across all managed endpoints to ensure security, performance, and stability.
Act as the highest-level escalation point for complex endpoint-related Service Desk issues.
Architect, administer, and optimize the Jamf Pro environment supporting macOS and iOS devices, including configuration profiles, policies, and OS/application patching.
Lead Microsoft Intune administration for Windows and Android devices, ensuring consistent policy enforcement, security baselines, and application delivery.
Manage Apple Business Manager (ABM) and Windows Autopilot to enable true zero‑touch provisioning at scale.
2. Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)
Administer and optimize Amazon WorkSpaces environments.
Manage directories, custom bundles, and golden image creation and maintenance.
Troubleshoot performance, connectivity, and configuration issues within AWS.
3. Automation & Engineering
Design and maintain advanced automation using PowerShell and Bash to eliminate manual processes and integrate with system APIs.
Build and maintain a robust software packaging library (DMG, PKG, MSI) for silent and automated deployment.
Implement automated reporting for hardware inventory, license compliance, and security posture.
4. Security & Compliance
Enforce endpoint security standards, including FileVault and BitLocker encryption and EDR agent health monitoring.
Partner with Security and Compliance teams to identify and remediate endpoint vulnerabilities across the fleet.
Required Qualifications
· Experience: 3–5 years in an Endpoint Engineering, MDM, or UEM-focused role.
· Jamf Expertise: Proven experience managing macOS and iOS environments at enterprise scale using Jamf Pro.
· Intune Expertise: Hands-on experience administering Windows environments through Microsoft Endpoint Manager.
· VDI Experience: Direct administration experience with Amazon WorkSpaces.
· BYOD Programs: Experience deploying and supporting BYOD for personal iOS and Android devices.
· Advanced Scripting: Strong ability to write, debug, and maintain Bash and PowerShell scripts from scratch.
· Identity & Access: Working knowledge of Okta or Azure AD (Entra ID) as it relates to device enrollment, authentication, and SSO.
Education & Certifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
· Relevant certifications are a plus, including:
· Jamf 200 / 300
· Microsoft MD‑102
· AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
Bonus: Enterprise AI Tool Deployment Experience
· As the organization expands adoption of AI‑powered workforce tools, hands‑on experience deploying and managing enterprise AI solutions is a strong differentiator.
Preferred experience includes:
· Enterprise AI Search & Knowledge Tools: Deploying platforms such as Glean, including SSO integration (Okta/Azure AD), connector configuration, and large‑scale user onboarding.
· Agentic AI Coding Tools: Managing deployment of Claude Code or GitHub Copilot, including license management, IDE plugin distribution via Jamf/Intune, and secure credential handling.
· AI Productivity & Workflow Automation: Rolling out AI desktop or productivity agents (e.g., Claude Cowork), including packaging, silent deployment, update management, and security coordination.
· AI Deployment Best Practices: Understanding endpoint, identity, and security considerations unique to AI tools—network allowlisting, DLP tuning, provisioning workflows, and stakeholder communication across IT and Security.
