BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Design Engineer V for an opportunity in Remote!
Position Title: Design Engineer V
Location: Remote
Anticipated Start Date: ASAP

Expected Duration: 3 Months
Job Type: Contract - [FULL TIME (40 Hours a week)]
Pay Range: $80/hr. to $85/hr.

Job Description:
Summary:
The main function of a design engineer is to research and develop ideas for new products and systems. The typical design engineer will perform various tasks including creating test prototypes and overseeing manufacturing processes.
Job Responsibilities:
- Research and draft blueprints, engineering plans, and graphics.
- Develop and test prototypes for new products and systems.
- Identify solutions to improve production efficiency.
- Use design software to develop models and drawings of new products.
- Assess prototypes to determine issues or risks.
- Supervise the process of manufacturing designs.
Skills:
- Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability.
- Team player and detail oriented.
- Ability to make sketches, engineering drawings and common computations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawing, schematics and computer-generated reports.
- Previous experience with computer applications and software related to engineering field, such as Computer Aided Design (CAD).
Education/Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in engineering.
Top 3 must-have HARD skills:
- ability to rapidly prototype
- hands on engineering of new design/software concepts Coding- mobile and or web
Good to have skills:
- strong communication and story telling
- clear sense of product strategy in the AI product market
