About the OpportunityA large enterprise client is seeking a Monitoring Engineer to design and enhance monitoring strategies across infrastructure, applications, networks, databases, and mission-critical healthcare systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across multiple teams, improving visibility, and driving high availability in complex environments.
You'll shape monitoring standards, build dashboards, automate insights, and ensure key systems remain healthy and operational at all times.
What You'll Do- Design and deploy monitoring solutions across applications, databases, network infrastructure, and enterprise systems.
- Build and standardize enterprise monitoring strategies to ensure consistency and reliability.
- Ensure accurate and timely metric collection, alerting, reporting, and performance analysis.
- Create dashboards consolidating data from multiple teams and tools.
- Maintain platform health through regular upgrades, patches, troubleshooting, and vendor collaboration.
- Participate in deployment planning to ensure monitoring requirements are included from day one.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop scripts, queries, and automation for self-healing capabilities.
- Provide reports on logs, trends, performance, and operational health.
- Work closely with incident response teams to ensure alerts integrate seamlessly with protocols.
- Support the development of procedures, process improvements, and operational standards.
Essential Skills & Experience- Strong experience in monitoring tools, observability platforms, or enterprise IT operations.
- Experience building dashboards, alerts, and visibility tools.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow, BigPanda, or similar monitoring systems is a plus.
- Ability to analyze logs, metrics, and system data to identify trends and issues.
- Strong communication skills with comfort working across multiple technical teams and leadership levels.
- Solid understanding of networks, infrastructure, and system performance.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60.00 - $75.00/hr.
