Senior Data Engineer to support key strategic initiatives within our Corporate Real Estate (CRE) Strategy Reporting and Retail Portfolio teams. This role plays a critical part in increasing transparency into performance metrics, operational milestones, and business intelligence across a wide range of CRE operations.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in data analytics, dashboard development, and dataset preparation, paired with the ability to communicate insights effectively to leadership.
This is an
onsite position located in
Westlake, TX, working closely with the Senior Manager, Analytics Developer, and the Director of Real Estate Strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Accelerate delivery of strategic CRE initiatives by providing analytical and reporting support.
- Develop, automate, and maintain dashboards and visualizations in Tableau to communicate key performance metrics.
- Clean, blend, and structure large and complex datasets from various unique data sources using SQL/PL-SQL and ETL tools.
- Partner with CRE Leadership, internal clients, and project stakeholders to gather business requirements and deliver clear, actionable reporting.
- Support day-to-day business intelligence needs for CRE Strategy and internal operational teams.
- Collaborate closely with team members onsite while also completing independent analytical assignments.
- Contribute to high-impact, ad hoc projects for CRE Leadership and the Executive Committee.
Required Skills & Experience- Strong proficiency in Tableau and Excel is required.
- Hands-on experience using SQL or PL/SQL, plus ETL tools such as Tableau Prep, MS Power Query, or Alteryx to clean, blend, and automate datasets.
- Demonstrated ability to design, build, and deploy engaging Tableau dashboards.
- Experience working with large, disparate datasets from multiple sources.
- Combination of technical developer skills and applied analytics capabilities.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with a strong attention to detail.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)- Familiarity with real estate and facilities management tools such as Archibus, CoStar, or Corrigo.
- Experience presenting analytical insights to senior leadership or executive audiences.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Master's degree in a quantitative or technical discipline.
Education- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business, Finance, or similar required.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Proven end-to-end experience in data wrangling and Tableau dashboard development.
Typical Day in the Role- Work onsite in Westlake, TX alongside the Senior Manager, Analytics Developer and the Director of Real Estate Strategy.
- Engage in frequent informal collaboration with a small, dynamic team.
- Balance routine reporting responsibilities with high-visibility, ad hoc strategic projects.
- Participate in stakeholder meetings to gather requirements, present updates, and deliver analytical outputs.
