database/application modernization,
technology controls automation,
Power BI reporting, and
data platform enhancements. This role is part of a major modernization effort involving data migration, schema redesign, ETL refactoring, and the operationalization of data controls across Oracle, SQL Server, and cloud/hybrid platforms.
The engineer will evaluate moderately complex data and compliance challenges, recommend solutions, validate controls, and help develop automated workflows to ensure operational resilience, regulatory alignment, and data integrity. This position requires strong technical depth, experience in large-scale enterprise systems, and the ability to collaborate across engineering, risk, and data teams.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:Technology Controls Automation Design & implement automated control checks embedded in applications, databases, and reports
Build monitoring, validation, and evidence-generation functions to support audits & compliance
Integrate automated controls into CI/CD pipelines and operational dashboards
Database Migration, Development & Modernization Support or lead database/application migration initiatives (on-prem cloud/hybrid)
Refactor schemas, stored procedures, functions, and ETL/ELT workflows
Perform
data validation, reconciliation, and parity checks for migration cutovers
Conduct performance tuning and post-migration stabilization
Work with Oracle and SQL Server across development, QA, and production
Analytics & Reporting Enablement Create and maintain
Power BI dashboards used for controls effectiveness, operational metrics, and modernization tracking
Develop analytical data models to support insights and decision-making
Translate technical and risk requirements into clear dashboards and KPIs
AI & Machine Learning Enablement (Nice-to-Have) Operationalize ML outputs: feature tables, scoring workflows, governed data products
Integrate Python/R models or cloud ML services into pipelines
Build predictive dashboards such as anomaly detection or forecasting
