About the Job- We are looking for an experienced Senior Azure & Databricks Consultant to join one of our enterprise client engagements. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Property & Casualty (P&C), Life or Health Insurance, Policy administration, Claims processing, Billing and payments along with experience working in fast-paced enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable data pipelines using Azure Databricks, Apache Spark, Python, and SQL.
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows for structured and semi-structured insurance data.
- Develop data ingestion processes using Azure Data Factory and other Azure data services.
- Implement and maintain Delta Lake tables and lakehouse architectures.
- Develop data transformation, cleansing, validation, and enrichment processes.
- Optimize Spark workloads, Databricks jobs, SQL queries, and data storage for performance and cost.
- Implement data quality, monitoring, logging, and error-handling frameworks.
- Develop reusable frameworks and engineering standards for the data platform.
- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, testing, deployment, and production support.
Insurance Domain Experience
Prior experience in the insurance industry is strongly preferred. Candidates with exposure to one or more of the following areas will be especially valuable:
- Property & Casualty (P&C)
- Life or Health Insurance
- Policy administration
- Claims processing
- Billing and payments
- Underwriting
- Customer and broker data
- Premium and loss data
- Regulatory and compliance reporting
- Insurance data warehouses or analytical platforms
