This role focuses on designing and operating highly resilient, secure, and observable infrastructure powered by GPU and accelerated compute platforms.
The architect will be accountable for enterprise-grade standards across security, observability, resilience, auditability, and cost governance. A key responsibility includes ownership of infrastructure and platform telemetry governance-ensuring all critical APIs, metrics, logs, traces, and cost data are properly inventoried, validated, and collected at appropriate intervals.
This role requires hands-on experience applying FinOps practices in large enterprises, including telemetry retention audits that support operational readiness, warm-up recovery, and rapid restoration following incidents, maintenance, upgrades, or disaster recovery events.
Key Responsibilities- Define and govern end-to-end private cloud infrastructure architectures supporting AI/ML workloads, including GPU and accelerated compute platforms
- Design reference architectures, standards, and guardrails for hybrid environments spanning private cloud and on-prem data centers
- Provide architectural leadership for GPU platforms, including cluster design, scheduling, capacity planning, monitoring, and lifecycle management
- Own and govern the enterprise inventory of platform and infrastructure APIs, including validation of data collection intervals
- Define observability strategies for metrics, logs, traces, cost, capacity, and model-serving telemetry, with strong data quality controls
- Apply FinOps principles to enable cost allocation, showback/chargeback, unit economics, and consumption governance for AI infrastructure
- Lead telemetry retention and audit practices to support compliance, incident analysis, and resilience "warm-up" recovery capabilities
- Partner with engineering, operations, finance, security, risk, and audit teams to align architecture and operational outcomes
Required Qualifications- 10+ years of experience in infrastructure architecture, platform engineering, or private cloud engineering within large enterprise environments
- Proven experience designing and operating hybrid data center infrastructure, including virtualization, containers, storage, and networking
- Hands-on experience with GPU and accelerated compute platforms, including capacity planning and operational management
- Demonstrated ownership of enterprise observability and telemetry programs, including API inventory and collection governance
- Direct FinOps experience in large organizations, including cost allocation, showback/chargeback, and infrastructure unit economics
- Strong understanding of resilience, recovery, and operational readiness dependencies
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across both technical and non-technical teams
Preferred Qualifications- FinOps Certified Practitioner or FinOps Certified Professional
- Experience supporting AI/ML or LLM platforms within regulated or highly controlled environments
