Job Details

We're seeking someone to join our team as an experienced Database Infrastructure Engineer that with will be responsible for development, unit and integration testing of REST framework, building tools and scripts used for deploying and managing multiple databases and related products globally at the enterprise level. The candidate should have modern-day RDBMS experience in systems like Snowflake and Postgres and will be working on various database related infrastructure / automation projects that will require development in python and UNIX/Linux scripting.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for monitoring and optimization of Snowflake and PostgreSQL databases, ensuring high availability and top performance across diverse cloud environments
  • Responsible for unit and integration testing of REST framework
  • Automate database management tasks using Python and UNIX/Linux scripting to enhance infrastructure provisioning and deployment efficiency
  • Monitor and ensure data security by configuring encryption, access control, and compliance measures to protect sensitive data in Snowflake and other databases/systems
  • Review and improve system performance through query optimization, result caching, and clustering, reducing query times and enhancing system reliability
  • Collaborate across teams within the firm to resolve critical issues or any potential outages

Required Skills
  • 5+ years of Strong Developer Experience with ANSI complaint databases such as Postgres and Snowflake using Python and/or Perl
  • Thorough Knowledge of SQL
  • Strong development skills in Python using database interfaces such as SQLAlchemy/ODBC
  • Experience with Agile and DevOps
  • Experience with Linux and Windows, Scripting
  • Good understanding of Azure and/or AWS CSP (CLI based application design and implementation)
  • Strong communication and written skills

Desired Skills
  • Hands-on experience with Azure and/or AWS CLI based application design and implementation
  • Knowledge of security controls for the Public cloud (encryption of data in motion/rest and key management )
  • Developing monitoring architecture and implementing monitoring agents, dashboards, escalations and alerts
  • Experience with architecting and maintaining high availability production systems
  • Snowflake certification a plus
