Information Network Security Engineer

Our large financial services client is working through technology lifecycle refresh efforts to improve their Network Security posture. The first workstream will be a migrations, upgrades and deployment of FortiGate and Palo Alto, including some Physical to Virtual infrastructure moves. This team is primarily focused on DC firewalls and they are looking for experience with Palo Alto 10.1 and Fortinet 7.4 or newer. Daily Workload: This person will work on the new infrastructure builds as well as some maintenance and administration of the current environment. Daily activity will include partnering with other network engineers to understand the existing environment, and driving best practices for implementation/migration/upgrades. When working on deployments, they will receive the standard config templates from the NetSec certification team and execute the config/deployment from there. This does require nighttime work for deployments and that schedule is typically completed 1 week in advance. This resource will work 40 hours per week and will be expected to communicate with the manager regarding day/night activity balance to ensure all work is completed within 40 hours. The manager is somewhat flexible about adjusting daytime schedule to accommodate required nighttime deployment work. Generally this work is firewall installs, decomms and refresh work. This particular team DOES NOT do policy or code upgrades, but still have to install new rules and convert policies from one platform to another. Troubleshooting escalated issues and device hardening activities are also standard practice. They should understand Palo Alto and Fortinet templates and be able to create a standard configuration and roll that out to the entire environment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $70.00/hr.
