Permit Manager
Charlotte, NC (Hybrid/Remote Opportunity)
Pay Rate: $35-$40/hr. on W2

Description:
  • We are seeking an experienced Permit Manager with a strong background in the Telecom/Fiber industry to support network construction and fiber deployment projects.
  • This role will manage end-to-end permitting activities across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring timely approvals, compliance, and successful project execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage telecom/fiber permitting applications, including utility pole attachments and ROW permits.
  • Track permit submissions, approvals, fees, risks, and closeouts for fiber and OSP construction projects.
  • Coordinate with engineering, OSP design teams, vendors, and municipalities to ensure permit compliance and timely approvals.
  • Maintain accurate permitting records and reporting using Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
  • Communicate permit status updates, delays, and project risks throughout the permit lifecycle.
  • Build strong working relationships with municipalities, inspectors, planning & zoning departments, and external agencies.
  • Identify permitting risks, drive process improvements, and support cost-effective fiber deployment strategies.

Qualifications:
  • Must have experience in the Telecom/Fiber industry supporting fiber network, OSP, or telecom infrastructure projects.
  • Strong experience working in multi-agency and multi-jurisdictional permitting environments.
  • Knowledge of telecom construction permitting, utility coordination, and municipal regulations preferred.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
  • Must be located in or near the Charlotte, NC area (some remote flexibility available).

Pay Range:: $35-$40/hr. on W2

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
