Summary

Title: Senior QA Architect
Location: Toronto (Onsite, FTE)
Experience: 8 to 13+ Years
Note: Prefer Canadian Citizens Only
Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Architect to define and drive the automation testing strategy across a portfolio of banking and cash management applications. This role will be responsible for designing scalable automation frameworks, establishing QA best practices, and enabling teams to achieve higher quality, faster releases, and greater test coverage.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and govern enterprise-grade automation testing frameworks.
  • Define automation strategy, standards, tools, and quality metrics across applications.
  • Build scalable frameworks for UI, API, integration, and regression testing.
  • Provide technical leadership and hands-on support to QA teams.
  • Integrate automation frameworks with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes.
  • Drive test data management, reporting, execution optimization, and quality dashboards.
  • Review automation code quality and establish best practices.
  • Collaborate with Development, DevOps, Product, and Business teams to improve release quality.
  • Evaluate and recommend new testing tools, frameworks, and automation approaches.
Required Skills
  • 8+ years of QA/Test Automation experience.
  • Strong expertise in Java and Selenium-based test automation frameworks.
  • Deep experience with Cucumber/BDD and framework design.
  • Strong API automation expertise using REST Assured and Postman.
  • Experience building hybrid automation frameworks from scratch.
  • Strong SQL skills with backend data validation expertise.
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle databases; MongoDB exposure preferred.
  • Proficiency in JSON, XML, and integration testing.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker/Kubernetes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and technical mentoring skills.
  • Experience in Banking, Payments, Treasury, Cash Management, or Financial Services.
  • Knowledge of ISO 20022, CAMT, and machine-readable reporting formats.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience supporting reporting platforms, B2B/ERP integrations, and API-driven ecosystems.
  • Exposure to cloud-based testing environments.

  • Architect mindset with strong hands-on coding capability.
  • Ability to create frameworks that can be adopted across multiple teams and applications.
  • Strong focus on automation efficiency, scalability, maintainability, and delivery quality.
  • Ability to work across geographically distributed teams in India and Toronto.
