Location: Dimondale, MI
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (Onsite 2 5 days per week from day one at the manager's discretion).
Employment Type: Contract
Interview Mode: In-person only. Candidates must be available for an onsite interview.

Core Responsibilities

Full-Stack Development: Develop and maintain applications using Java (Spring Boot) on the backend and modern frameworks (Angular, React, or Vue) on the frontend.
Microservices & Cloud: Design, build, and optimize microservices for deployment on cloud platforms.
API Integration: Design and consume RESTful APIs, ensuring seamless integration with third-party services.
DevOps & Security: Actively participate in CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes. Implement modern security protocols including OAuth 2.0, SAML, and JWT.
Agile Collaboration: Translate user stories from Jira into technical solutions and participate in Scrum ceremonies.
Mentorship: Provide knowledge transfer and technical guidance to junior team members to ensure system maintainability.

Required Experience & Skills

Application Development: 5 8 years of experience as an Application Developer.
Java Stack: Proven expertise in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, and Oracle/SQL Server.
Frontend: Solid skills in Angular, React, or Vue, along with HTML5, CSS3, and TypeScript.
Microservices: In-depth experience with microservices architecture and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
DevOps Tools: Hands-on experience with Git, Jenkins, Maven, and automated testing frameworks (JUnit, Selenium/Playwright).
Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with message queuing systems like IBM MQ.
Strong background in Test-Driven Development (TDD).
Experience in public sector or large-scale enterprise software integration.
