IT Support Analyst

Description

We are looking for a IT Support Analyst to support employees with day-to-day technical issues in California. This IT Support Analyst contract opportunity has the potential to become permanent and is ideal for someone who enjoys combining hands-on desktop support with responsive service desk assistance across both remote and onsite environments. In this IT Support Analyst role, you will help maintain end-user systems, resolve incidents efficiently, and provide guidance on workplace technology and security best practices. This IT Support Analyst is on onsite role out of Pleasanton.

Responsibilities:

Deliver first- and second-level technical support for end users, resolving incidents through desk-side assistance as well as remote troubleshooting.

Set up, deploy, maintain, and repair desktops, laptops, and related equipment for office and workstation use.

Administer and support Windows 10 devices and provide limited assistance for iOS-based hardware.

Troubleshoot hardware issues, software errors, and connectivity problems to restore user productivity quickly.

Support core business applications and collaboration platforms, including Microsoft 365, Teams, Zoom, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Install, configure, and maintain endpoint protection and backup tools across desktop and laptop environments.

Assist with Active Directory tasks such as account setup, password resets, and basic user access support while helping monitor and triage incoming tickets.

Configure new user devices and peripherals, including computers, printers, and remote access tools such as Citrix and related solutions.

Track and update inventory records for IT assets as equipment is received, assigned, relocated, or replaced within the office.

Provide end-user instruction on software usage, security awareness, and effective computing practices while following organizational safety and security standards.

Requirements

Experience providing Level 1 and Level 2 help desk or desktop support in a fast-paced environment.
Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft Windows systems, including device setup, troubleshooting, and ongoing support.
Familiarity with Active Directory administration, including account creation and password management.
Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and basic network issues, including TCP/IP-related connectivity problems.
Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Office applications, along with collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
Exposure to remote access technologies such as Citrix and the ability to support end users in hybrid work settings.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and provide effective user training.
