Kforce has a client that is seeking a SQL Business Analyst in Saint Louis, MO.

Summary:
We are seeking a highly analytical and technically skilled SQL Business Analyst to support enterprise data initiatives and ensure the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of business-critical data. This role serves as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, helping to resolve data-related issues, validate data quality, investigate data lineage, and support ongoing enhancements to data platforms and processes.

The ideal candidate will possess strong SQL expertise, experience working within large enterprise environments, a passion for problem-solving, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience leveraging AI tools and automation to improve efficiency and accelerate delivery is highly preferred.

Responsibilities:
* Serve as a liaison between business and technical teams to support data-related initiatives and issue resolution
* Ensure data products and solutions align with business needs and organizational objectives
* Investigate and resolve data inquiries, including data discrepancies, duplicate records, data quality concerns, and validation requests
* Analyze data lineage and trace data mappings across systems to identify root causes of issues
* Perform data quality assessments, validation testing, and anomaly detection
* Participate in regular triage sessions and production support activities to evaluate, prioritize, and resolve issues
* Create, update, and manage work items and tickets within Jira
* Partner with quality assurance and validation teams to ensure comprehensive testing standards are met
* Review existing processes and workflows to ensure completeness, accuracy, and operational effectiveness
* Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance data quality and operational efficiency

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field
* 5+ years of experience writing and analyzing SQL queries for data validation, troubleshooting, and ad hoc analysis
* 5+ years of experience working within a large enterprise environment
* Experience performing data quality analysis, data validation, and root cause investigation
* Understanding of data lineage, data mapping, and data flow processes
* Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
* Exceptional troubleshooting abilities and attention to detail
* Experience working in Agile environments and utilizing Jira for workflow management
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams
* Self-motivated with the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Proven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

Nice to Have/Preferred Skills:
* 3-5 years of programming experience
* Experience with Python for data analysis, automation, or scripting
* Experience with UNIX/Linux shell scripting
* Experience with Snowflake or other modern cloud data platforms
* Data warehousing experience
* Experience with data observability, monitoring, or data validation tools
* Knowledge of AI-assisted development, analytics, or automation tools
* Experience supporting large-scale data platforms and enterprise data ecosystems

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
