Job Summary

We are seeking a Re-Platforming Software Engineer to lead and support the modernization and migration of applications from legacy platforms to modern cloud-native and scalable architectures. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess existing systems, design migration strategies, and implement high-quality software solutions that improve performance, security, and maintainability.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze legacy applications and identify re-platforming or modernization opportunities.
• Design and implement migration strategies for applications, databases, and services.
• Refactor, optimize, and modernize application code to align with current technology standards.
• Develop and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance software solutions.
• Integrate applications with cloud platforms, APIs, and enterprise services.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, DevOps, QA, and business stakeholders throughout the migration lifecycle.
• Perform system integration, testing, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Automate deployment and migration processes using CI/CD pipelines.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, migration plans, and implementation guides.
• Ensure compliance with security, reliability, and software development best practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong programming skills in Java, C#, Python, Go, or similar languages.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture, REST APIs, and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Git and Agile software development methodologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI).
• Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Experience in application performance tuning and system optimization.
• Knowledge of security best practices and cloud-native application design.
