Summary of Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Product Definition & Value
• Responsible for determining business needs, understanding market demands and technical trends, problem solving and proposing solutions.
• Align with business partners to balance business and technical objectives and manifest these as clear, stable priorities for the team.
• Manages product planning through day to day collaboration and decision making with a cross-functional team including engineers and business partners.
• Defines non-functional requirements including performance, scalability, resilience, usability, accessibility, security, and business continuity.
• Defines product health and performance metrics
• Creates dashboard/reporting requirements and KPIs to measure product performance
• Identifies opportunities to improve feature performance and overall product health using data.
• Measures feature success post deployment and feeds insights back to the team and business partners.
Communication and Collaboration
• Interacts directly with business stakeholders to understand business problems
• Presents options/recommendations clearly and persuasively to support business stakeholder decisions
• Works with engineering teams to understand, prioritize and document technical and non-functional features.
• Owns effective relationships with engineering teams across Starbucks Technology
Product Planning & Delivery
• Practices iterative, agile development
• Identifies and documents technical tradeoffs as well as dependencies and constraints
• Performs validation of feature against stated goals; facilitates user review/acceptance testing
Basic Qualification
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or relevant field
• Demonstrated ability to use analytics and optimization tools to inform product planning and prioritization (4 years)
• Demonstrated ability to work with design and engineering to deliver customer facing features (4 years)
• Hands on experience in developing roadmaps, priorities, features, story outlines, writing user stories, refining product backlogs, and coordinating/prioritizing conflicting requirements in a fast-paced, changing environment with variety of stakeholders (4 years)
Preferred Qualifications
Enterprise Operating System Deployment
- Proven experience leading or supporting large-scale Windows Operating System implementations within enterprise environments (10,000+ endpoints preferred).
- Strong understanding of Windows deployment tools and frameworks, such as Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (SCCM/MECM), Intune, Autopilot, MDT, or related imaging/provisioning technologies.
- Background in managing OS migration programs, including compatibility assessments, pilot and phased rollout strategies, and cross-team coordination.
Hardware Implementation & Lifecycle Management
- Experience driving end‑to‑end hardware lifecycle programs, including procurement standards, device evaluation, deployment readiness, maintenance, and retirement/disposal practices.
- Familiarity with OEM engagement, device roadmaps, hardware certification processes, and fleet-standardization strategies.
- Hands-on experience with hardware deployment processes, including imaging, driver management, peripheral readiness, and logistics coordination across distributed environments.
Product & Program Leadership
- Demonstrated ability to translate business and technical requirements into product roadmaps, user stories, and release plans.
- Experience working with engineering, security, operations, and support teams to deliver scalable endpoint solutions in a complex enterprise ecosystem.
- Strong data-driven decision-making skills with the ability to use metrics to measure adoption, performance, and program success.
Technical Skills
- Solid understanding of enterprise device management, endpoint security, update management, and configuration policy frameworks.
- Familiarity with modern endpoint management concepts and cloud-based device provisioning.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
