Job Overview
We are looking for a Design & Construction Program Manager with a strong engineering background to support new data center construction projects.
This role will manage design coordination, permitting strategy, and early construction planning for large ground-up data center buildouts.
The ideal candidate has experience working with data center infrastructure projects and permitting processes, and understands how permitting impacts design decisions, schedules, and construction execution.
Key Responsibilities

Act as the client representative for new data center construction projects
-
Manage design phase and pre-construction coordination
-
Lead the permitting strategy for data center buildouts
-
Understand how permitting impacts design decisions, project schedules, and construction activities
-
Coordinate with utilities, AHJs (Authorities Having Jurisdiction), architects, engineers, and construction partners
-
Work with civil, structural, MEP, environmental, and fire protection teams
-
Ensure design packages are ready for permit submissions

Track design schedules, budgets, milestones, and risks

Conduct constructability reviews and value engineering
-
Support contract changes, scope adjustments, and negotiations

Provide design and construction reporting

Manage design documentation and document control
Required Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering

Experience managing new data center construction projects
-
Experience with mission-critical facilities
-
Strong knowledge of permitting processes, including:

Experience working with:

Ability to manage design schedules, budgets, deliverables, and risks

Strong communication and coordination skills

Experience with hyperscale data centers

Experience managing large technical infrastructure programs
