Business Systems Analyst

A Fortune 50 financial services company is seeking a highly motivated Business Systems Analyst to join their team in the McLean, Virginia area. This is a remote role.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze business processes, data, and system functionality to identify improvement opportunities


• Gather, document, and clarify business and technical requirements from stakeholders


• Translate business needs into clear functional specifications and process documentation


• Support solution design and integration efforts across systems and applications


• Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis, including basic root cause analysis


• Recommend workflow, system, and control enhancements to improve efficiency and performance


• Participate in testing activities, including test planning, test case creation, execution, and results reporting


• Collaborate with business units, ISD/technology partners, and vendors during implementation efforts


• Support the rollout and adoption of new products, services, or system enhancements


• Monitor system performance and assist with issue identification and resolution


• Research emerging technologies and best practices to support continuous improvement

Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, or a related role


• Experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements


• Basic understanding of business processes, systems, and data analysis


• Familiarity with testing concepts and participation in UAT or system testing


• Strong written and verbal communication skills


• Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Desired Skills:

• Experience in a regulated or process-driven environment (e.g., financial services)


• Exposure to SDLC, Agile, or hybrid delivery models


• Experience working with vendors or cross-functional technology teams


• Proficiency with documentation tools, spreadsheets, or reporting tools
