Infor (10+ yrs experience)
Enterprise Integration Patterns (7-10 yrs experience)
Delivery Management (7-10 yrs experience)
Role Description:
Design and deliver technology architecture for a platform, product, or engagement. Define solutions to meet performance, capability, and scalability needs.
Senior technical leader responsible for architecting and delivering the end-to-end migration of a highly customized on-premise Infor Workforce Management (WFM) platform to the Infor Cloud (multi-tenant or single-tenant). Owns technical strategy, architecture decisions, and execution leadership across upgrade, modernization, and cloud adoption—ensuring alignment to business constraints, scalability, and long-term maintainability.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Technical Strategy
- Define target-state architecture for Infor WFM in cloud (multi-tenant vs. single-tenant), including integration, data, security, and environment strategy
- Lead fit-to-standard vs. customization decisions; drive reduction of legacy technical debt
- Establish modernization patterns (e.g., legacy Java → Groovy, configuration over customization, extensibility frameworks)
- Define upgrade path strategy (version sequencing, interim upgrades, compatibility constraints)
- Own integration architecture across boundary systems (HRIS, payroll, ERP, identity, etc.)
Upgrade & Migration Delivery Leadership
- Lead full lifecycle delivery: assessment, design, build, test, cutover, and hypercare
- Translate highly customized legacy constructs into scalable cloud-native solutions
- Define and execute data conversion strategy (historical vs. active data, transformation rules, reconciliation approach)
- Drive environment strategy (dev/test/prod, refresh cycles, tenant management)
- Maintain delivery rigor across aggressive timelines, blackout windows, and operational constraints
Technical Team Leadership
- Lead a technical team of 5–10+ engineers and coordinate across a broader 10–15+ technical + functional team
- Establish development standards, code quality practices, and CI/CD or deployment governance
- Provide hands-on guidance for complex design, integrations, and performance tuning
- Manage dependencies across vendors, system integrators, and client teams
Customization & Modernization Execution
- Inventory and rationalize legacy customizations (extensions, scripts, interfaces)
- Lead conversion strategies:
- Java → Groovy or Infor extensibility frameworks
- Batch processes → event-driven or API-based integrations
- Custom UI → Infor-delivered UX/configuration
- Ensure alignment with Infor cloud constraints (multi-tenant limitations, upgrade-safe design)
Testing, Cutover & Go-Live
- Define system integration testing (SIT), UAT, and performance testing strategies
- Own cutover planning including sequencing, rollback strategy, and data migration validation
- Navigate business blackout periods and ensure minimal disruption to payroll/workforce operations
- Support go-live readiness and hypercare stabilization
Stakeholder & Governance Management
- Serve as primary technical advisor to client leadership and program stakeholders
- Translate technical decisions into business impact (cost, risk, timeline, maintainability)
- Drive governance forums (architecture review boards, design authority, change control)
- Ensure alignment with security, compliance, and cloud governance standards
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years enterprise application architecture experience, with deep expertise in Infor WFM
- Proven experience leading Infor WFM cloud migrations or major upgrades
- Infor Cloud (multi-tenant & single-tenant models)
- WFM modules (timekeeping, scheduling, absence, labor forecasting)
- Infor extensibility frameworks (Groovy, APIs, configuration tools)
- Experience modernizing highly customized legacy platforms
- Strong integration background (middleware, APIs, file-based, event-driven patterns)
- Demonstrated leadership of technical teams (5–10+) in complex, multi-system programs
- Experience managing cutover, blackout windows, and business-critical operations (e.g., payroll)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with adjacent enterprise systems (SAP, Oracle, Maximo)
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure models, security, and DevOp practices
- Prior experience in utilities, public sector, or highly regulated environments
- Exposure to large-scale ERP or workforce transformation programs
