Position Overview We are seeking an experienced
Informatica IDMC Data Lineage Specialist to support enterprise data governance and metadata management initiatives. The ideal candidate will implement, manage, and optimize
data lineage capabilities using
Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC), Enterprise Data Catalog (EDC), and related metadata tools to enhance data transparency, regulatory compliance, and trust across the organization.
Key Responsibilities - Implement and configure Informatica IDMC data lineage capabilities, including metadata scanning, parsing, linking, and visualization.
- Build and maintain end-to-end data lineage maps for critical data assets across databases, ETL tools, cloud platforms, and BI/reporting tools.
- Collaborate with Data Governance, Data Engineering, and Business stakeholders to identify, onboard, and validate metadata sources within Informatica IDMC.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of lineage by validating lineage paths, resolving gaps, and documenting transformation logic.
- Automate metadata ingestion from systems such as Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server, Informatica PowerCenter/IICS, Tableau, and related platforms.
- Develop custom metadata parsers, connectors, or scripts using Informatica APIs or SDKs when required.
- Support regulatory compliance efforts (GDPR, HIPAA), impact analysis, and governance initiatives through accurate lineage mapping.
- Participate in the creation and maintenance of metadata workflows, governance policies, and lineage standards.
- Provide user training and support on how to access, interpret, and utilize lineage within the Informatica Data Catalog UI.
Required Skills & Experience - Strong hands-on experience with Informatica IDMC, EDC, and metadata management tools.
- Experience designing and maintaining data lineage mapping across hybrid data environments.
- Proficiency with metadata ingestion, ETL/ELT tools, and cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake).
- Ability to create and maintain custom lineage connectors using APIs or SDKs.
- Experience working with data governance frameworks, policies, and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Technical Skills - Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server
