Job#: 3026680 Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer with hands-on experience in SQL, SSIS, and Azure Data Factory to design, develop, and maintain ETL processes and data pipelines. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in relational databases, cloud-based data solutions, and a collaborative mindset suited for Agile development environments. Experience with Cosmos DB is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and Azure Data Factory.
- Build and optimize scalable data pipelines and data models to support analytics and reporting.
- Work with relational databases (SQL Server) and NoSQL solutions (Cosmos DB preferred) to store and retrieve data efficiently.
- Collaborate with business analysts, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
- Implement data quality checks, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of ETL processes.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives) to ensure timely delivery of data solutions.
- Document data processes, workflows, and technical designs for team knowledge sharing.
Qualifications:
- Strong experience with SQL and relational database concepts.
- Hands-on experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
- Experience with Azure Data Factory or other cloud-based ETL platforms.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaborative development practices.
- Knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL best practices.
- Experience with Cosmos DB or other NoSQL databases is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with other Azure services such as Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, or Azure Databricks.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for data solutions.
- Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance standards.
