Production Support/Application Support Engineer

Hybrid - 3 days onsite in Jersey City NJ

Our financial client in Jersey City, NJ is looking for a Sr. Production Support/Application Support Analyst for a long term contract position. The Production Services Specialist is responsible for ensuring availability and reliability of assigned production applications within a line of business (LOBs). These tasks are aligned to the key services outlined within the Global Support Services Service Catalog:
Monitoring
Incident Management
Request Management
Disaster Recovery / Application Recovery Certification Exercise
Metrics Reporting
Application Capacity Management

Responsibilities
User and batch job issue resolution, Manage highly critical applications - support BAU and ensure no business impact
Creating support documentation and updating existing documentation
Initiate the incident management process lead triage when BAU is impacted
Provide regular communication generate reports to all the stake holders
Investigation of root cause analysis and irreversible corrective action
Identify risk and drive remediations - ensure any day audit ready situation for the team
Will work closely with Business Partners and Development team
Hands on support of the applications
Disaster recovery test coordination, preparation and execution
Monitoring of daily batch processing
Timely adherence to all deliverables
Mentor / guide team members on issues/queries and other deliverables
Perform Capacity Management for applications in scope
Skill set: Experience in monitoring tools ITRS, SPLUNK, Dynatrace and App Dynamics
Skills : Scripting
Special consideration: PHP programming
Proficiency in M365 Applications
SQL scripting
Hands on experience with Unix
Hands on experience with Database (Oracle Teradata)
Hands on experience in Hadoop
Experience in Job scheduling tool - Autosys.
Knowledge on ETL tool - Informatica.
Knowledge on monitoring tools like ITRS Geneous, Splunk, Dynatrace
Knowledge on ITIL concepts like Incident and Problem Management

This is a Contract position based out of Jersey City, NJ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $65.00/hr.
