Applications Developer

Candidates for this role must have experience doing development on an ERP system.

Our client is a global medical device manufacturer seeking an IT Applications developer. This individual will serve as a member of the IT Applications team which is responsible for all aspects (e.g., development, maintenance, customization, and configuration) of internal business applications such as ERP (Epicor). The Sr. IT Applications Developer will be responsible for working with various stakeholders and using business, technical, and communication skills to address application-related issues and deliver effective solutions.

Essential Functions

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business processes and develop effective solutions
• Design, develop, test, and validate ERP-related applications and customizations Write SQL queries and reports to extract and manipulate data from multiple relational databases
• Maintain technical documentation and source control related to application design and implementation
• Develop and coordinate schedules; ensure support tickets are processed and triaged according to SLA
• Facilitate effective communication between team members, functional users, and other IT departments
• Provide feedback and recommendations for process and product improvements to the department manager; serve as a technical mentor and advisor for the Epicor ERP application
• Work closely with IT Applications team members and the department manager to meet team objectives, deadlines, and maintain high-quality development standards
  

Required / Preferred Education & Experience

• • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of experience with relational databases, ERP systems (such as Epicor), and Manufacturing Execution Systems (e.g., Siemens OpCenter)
  • Proven success serving as a technical lead on ERP implementations or development efforts
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional projects effectively
  • Experience with the .NET framework, C#, Java, JavaScript, or similar technologies
  • Experience with Epicor ERP (preferred)
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory (preferred)
  • Proficiency with SQL Server databases
