Job Title: Senior Virtual Desktop Engineer

Location- Remote

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Virtual Desktop Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) solutions. The role focuses on delivering secure, scalable, and high-performance virtual workspaces, ensuring an optimal end-user experience across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, deploy, and manage Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solutions
Administer platforms such as Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, VMware Horizon, or Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD)
Optimize performance, scalability, and availability of virtual desktop environments
Manage image creation, patching, and lifecycle (gold images, profiles, application layering)
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to VDI, networking, and storage
Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams
Implement security best practices including access control, endpoint security, and data protection
Support remote workforce enablement and end-user computing strategies
Automate routine tasks using scripting (PowerShell, etc.)
Maintain documentation, standards, and operational procedures

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Strong experience with VDI technologies (Citrix, VMware Horizon, Azure Virtual Desktop)
Solid understanding of Windows OS (Windows 10/11, Windows Server)
Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and identity management
Knowledge of networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, VPN, load balancing)
Familiarity with storage solutions and performance tuning
Experience with monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies
Strong scripting skills (PowerShell preferred)
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with cloud platforms, especially Microsoft Azure
Knowledge of endpoint management tools (Intune, SCCM/MECM)
Experience with FSLogix, profile management, and application virtualization
Certifications in Citrix, VMware, or Microsoft Azure
Exposure to security and compliance frameworks

Experience:

6–10 years of IT experience with at least 3–5 years in VDI / End User Computing
