Summary

Position: Google Cloud Platform Cloud Architect
Location: Houston, TX

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Google Cloud Platform Cloud Architect with over 12 years of overall IT experience and at least 4 years of hands-on expertise in Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform). The ideal candidate will design, architect, and lead cloud transformation initiatives using Google Cloud Platform technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available solutions on Google Cloud Platform.
Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives from on-prem or other cloud platforms to Google Cloud Platform.
Architect networking solutions including VPC, subnets, firewall rules, load balancing, and hybrid connectivity.
Implement containerized and serverless architectures using GKE, Cloud Run, and related services.
Define IAM strategies, security best practices, and governance models.
Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or similar tools.
Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Application teams to ensure optimal cloud solutions.
Provide technical leadership, best practices, and architectural guidance.

Required Skills:

12+ years of overall IT experience.
4+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform.
Strong expertise in:
Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage
BigQuery, Cloud SQL
VPC, IAM, Cloud Load Balancing
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Strong knowledge of cloud security and compliance frameworks.
Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.).
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
