Job Summary

We are seeking a hands-on Data Center Technician to support the installation, maintenance, and operation of critical data center infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with fiber optics, structured cabling, rack and stack activities, and network device support. This role is essential to ensuring uptime, reliability, and operational excellence in a fast-paced data center environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform rack and stack installation of servers, network devices, PDUs, and related hardware
  • Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot fiber optic and copper cabling (SMF, MMF, CAT5/6)
  • Label, dress, and document cabling to data center standards
  • Support network devices including switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers
  • Assist with device provisioning, hardware replacements, and break/fix activities
  • Conduct physical layer troubleshooting and connectivity testing (light levels, continuity, loopback tests)
  • Maintain accurate documentation including rack layouts, port mappings, and cable matrices
  • Follow change management, safety, and security protocols
  • Coordinate with network, systems, and facilities teams during deployments and maintenance windows
  • Support inventory management, asset tracking, and equipment lifecycle processes

Required Qualifications

  • 1-3+ years of experience in a data center, network, or infrastructure technician role
  • Hands-on experience with fiber optic and structured cabling
  • Proficiency in rack and stack of servers and network equipment
  • Familiarity with network hardware (Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Dell, etc.)
  • Experience using cable testing tools and basic networking diagnostics
  • Ability to read and follow technical diagrams and cabling schematics
  • Comfortable working in a mission-critical, 24/7 environment

Located in Muskogee, OK
Monday-Friday hours, with Saturdays forecasted in future

This is a Contract position based out of Tulsa, OK.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $37.00/hr.
