Lead Data Technician (Muskogee, OK)

Job Posting: Technician II - Structured Cabling / Data Center

Location: Muskogee, OK
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 10-hour days (approx. 50 hours/week). Occasional Saturday work required.
Environment: Data Center (Indoor & Outdoor Work)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Technician II to serve as the lead technician supporting a major data center project. The Technician II will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining structured cabling systems-including copper and fiber-as well as supporting network equipment buildouts and rack-and-stack activities.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced data center environment and is eager to expand their technical skill set in a hyperscale setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform installation of structured cabling systems (OSP/ISP), including:
  • Rack & stack
  • Patch panels
  • Fusion splicing
  • Testing and certification
• Run, dress, label, and terminate CAT5, CAT6, and fiber cabling
• Build out server cabinets and network equipment
• Execute fiber rough-in, final dressing, labeling, and patching
• Perform system testing using tools such as Fluke testers
• Complete fiber terminations and troubleshooting
• Read and interpret floor plans, drawings, cut sheets, and specifications
• Maintain job site organization and housekeeping
• Ensure compliance with customer security requirements
• Assist in developing and guiding Installers
• Present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of experience in structured cabling or related field
• Demonstrated ability with:
  • Rack and stack / cabinet buildouts
  • CAT5, CAT6, and fiber installation & patching
  • Fiber terminations
  • Testing using Fluke or similar certification tools
• Ability to perform troubleshooting on copper and fiber systems

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

• Fiber splicing
• Data center experience
• Fiber optic hardware knowledge
• Experience with hyperscale data center environments

This is a Contract position based out of Muskogee, OK.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $37.00/hr.
