RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in San Antonio, TX seeking a VP of IT Information Security.
Summary:
The Vice President of IT Information Security provides executive leadership over the organization's information security strategy, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and data within a regulated financial services environment. This role partners closely with executive leadership, regulators, and technology teams to manage cyber risk while enabling secure business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and execute the enterprise information security strategy aligned with regulatory and business objectives
* Oversee security governance, risk management, policies, and compliance (e.g., FFIEC, GLBA, NIST)
* Provide executive oversight of cybersecurity operations, incident response, and resiliency planning
* Guide secure practices across infrastructure, applications, and agile development teams
* Lead, mentor, and develop information security staff
* Communicate security risks and posture clearly to executive leadership and key stakeholders
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
* 5+ years of information security leadership experience, including people management
* Demonstrated experience leading information security programs in a regulated industry
* Strong background in security controls, risk assessments, and regulatory examinations
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
