Job Description
The PeopleSoft Financials Developer will support a critical ERP migration initiative, focusing on analyzing legacy systems, reverse-engineering business logic, and supporting data migration into PeopleSoft. This role will involve both traditional PeopleSoft development and deep analysis of existing .NET-based systems to ensure accurate data extraction and system integration.
The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in both PeopleSoft development and legacy system analysis, with the ability to clearly document and communicate complex technical logic to both technical teams and business stakeholders.
Primary Responsibilities
- Analyze and reverse-engineer legacy systems built on the .NET framework
- Extract, interpret, and document business logic and critical data structures
- Design and develop solutions within PeopleSoft Financials
- Support complex data migration efforts from legacy systems to PeopleSoft
- Ensure seamless integration of developed solutions into the ERP environment
- Perform coding, testing, debugging, and system enhancements
- Create and maintain technical documentation for system processes and integrations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project goals and timelines
- Participate in standard SDLC activities including design, development, testing, and deployment
- Support additional project tasks as needed; occasional off-hours work may be required depending on project phase
Minimum Requirements (Skills & Experience)
- 8+ years of development experience, including at least 2 years working with PeopleTools
- 8+ years of experience, including at least 2 years working with PeopleTools version 8.59 or higher
- 8+ years of experience working with advanced Oracle databases
- Strong ability to read and interpret .NET code (C#, VB.NET) and SQL Server stored procedures
- 8+ years of experience, including at least 2 years supporting complex legacy-to-PeopleSoft data migrations
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working within a public sector environment (federal, state, or local)
- Experience with CAPPS Financials
- Experience using Jira for project tracking
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
