The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams including system operators, product managers, analysts, and technical teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions that support grid operations and real-time utility environments. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and experience working with complex system integrations.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor system performance and ensure solutions meet reliability, operational, and service level requirements.

Work with system integrations including SCADA, GIS, OMS, DMS, ICCP, and enterprise data platforms.

Perform system configuration, log analysis, and troubleshooting across software, hardware, and network environments.

Maintain and patch Windows and Linux servers; support virtualized environments (VMware).

Develop documentation including technical procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.

Create operational and analytical reports (e.g., Power BI dashboards) to support business decisions.

Requirements

Core Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

4-8+ years of relevant experience in software engineering, system integration, or utility technology environments.

Hands-on experience with ADMS, SCADA, OMS, DMS, or related utility operational technologies.

Strong understanding of utility operations, grid management systems, and real-time operational environments.

Experience with system integrations and interfaces (SCADA, GIS, ICCP, historian systems, enterprise data platforms).

Proficiency in troubleshooting software, hardware, network, and integration issues.

Knowledge of Windows and Linux server administration including command-line operations.

Understanding of networking fundamentals (IP/LAN, firewalls, network topology).

Experience with deployments, patches, upgrades, and production support.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and collaborate across technical and operational teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in utility or energy environments supporting grid operations.

Familiarity with VMware vCenter or other virtualization technologies.

Experience with Power BI or similar reporting/analytics tools.

Knowledge of cybersecurity practices and enterprise security standards.

Experience supporting real-time operational systems and high-availability environments.

Ability to interpret technical diagrams (network topology, system architecture, interfaces).

Prior experience providing end-user support for system access, configuration, and functionality.
