Job Description:
Responsibilities
Business Rules & Workflow Configuration (Core)
Configure and maintain AWD business rules for work routing, prioritization, assignment, SLAs, escalations, and exception handling across P&C workflows.
Design rule-driven automation for:
Eligibility/triage, queue assignment, skill-based routing
Work item creation, status transitions, and trigger-based actions
Diary/follow-up tasks, rework loops, and approval steps
STP (Straight Through Processing) decisioning patterns where applicable
Implement and maintain rule parameters, lookups, and decision tables with proper version control and traceability.
Support process optimization by identifying bottlenecks, reducing touches, and improving cycle time using rule logic and configuration changes.
Requirements Translation & SME Collaboration
Work with stakeholders to refine requirements into rule definitions, conditions, outcomes, and acceptance criteria.
Facilitate rule walkthroughs with SMEs (Underwriting/Claims/Policy Ops) to validate intent and edge cases.
Produce configuration documentation: rule catalogs, rule traceability matrices, workflow diagrams, and change logs.
Testing, Quality & Release Support
Create and execute unit test scenarios for configured rules and workflow changes.
Partner with QA to support SIT/UAT; triage defects, perform root-cause analysis, and implement fixes.
Ensure configuration changes meet audit, compliance, and production readiness standards.
Provide hypercare support during releases and major business transitions (product launches, regulatory updates, catastrophe events).
Integration & Data Dependency Support
Coordinate with technical teams for integrations involving:
Policy Admin (Guidewire/Duck Creek/custom), Claims, Billing
Document management/imaging, OCR/IDP, payment systems
Validate that AWD rules properly leverage incoming data (policy/claim attributes, risk info, customer segments).
Governance & Controls
Ensure adherence to configuration governance, including approvals, peer reviews, and segregation of duties.
Maintain configuration standards and contribute to reusable rule patterns and best practices.
