RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Workstation Analyst I in Madison, WI.

Summary:
The Workstation Analyst implements, supports, and maintains PC and end-user computing technologies that enable local area network, wide area network, mobile, and remote connectivity. This role works closely with business users to deliver reliable client computing solutions, provides technical guidance, and consults on effective use of supported systems.

Responsibilities:
* Implement, support, and maintain client computing operations of low to moderate complexity, including documentation, configuration, installation, testing, distribution, training, monitoring, and ongoing maintenance
* Provide direct support to end users, deliver reliable desktop and device services, technical guidance, and informal training as needed
* Create and maintain technical documentation related to hardware and software in the client computing environment, as well as end-user training materials
* Evaluate requests for new or modified workstation hardware based on business needs and provide appropriate recommendations
* Plan and implement hardware upgrades, anticipate potential issues related to changes, and develop contingency plans
* Monitor and maintain accurate hardware inventory records
* Coordinate and complete move, add, and change requests related to desktop computing technologies
* Resolve technical issues escalated from the Help Desk related to PC hardware, application support, connectivity, and related client computing issues
* Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to support critical incidents and outages
* Participate in IT projects focused on improving and upgrading client computing technologies
* Identify, plan, and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and service quality
* Translate customer requirements into tasks and user stories using Agile tools
* Communicate effectively with peers to ensure tasks and stories are clearly understood by all stakeholders

REQUIREMENTS:
* Associate degree with an emphasis in Information Technology or a related field preferred
* Minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible experience providing PC support in a networked environment
* Hands-on administrative experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems and software
* Experience supporting standard application packages, imaging tools, profile migration techniques, client computing hardware, peripherals, and general PC troubleshooting and problem resolution
* Working knowledge of software distribution concepts
* Understanding of network operating systems, LAN characteristics, network topologies, components, protocols, and services including TCP/IP, LDAP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls, and routers
* Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
* Ability to apply logical reasoning to identify and resolve low complexity technical problems
* Ability to work effectively in a diverse work environment

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
