Summary

Description

We are looking for an experienced AI/Data Governance Analyst to lead and implement enterprise-wide data management strategies. This role requires strong leadership and technical expertise to ensure data governance frameworks, data quality standards, and metadata practices are effectively deployed and maintained. As a vital part of the team, you will collaborate closely with business and technology stakeholders to drive data compliance and deliver trusted, high-quality data solutions. This is a long-term contract position based in New York, New York.

Responsibilities:
Develop and execute comprehensive data management strategies, including governance, quality, and metadata initiatives.
Establish and refine policies, standards, and frameworks to support data governance across the organization.
Lead the implementation of data quality management processes, including rule definition, monitoring, and issue resolution.
Partner with cross-functional teams to align data management efforts with organizational goals.
Select and optimize tools and platforms for data governance and quality management.
Serve as a thought leader to influence executives and stakeholders on prioritizing data as a strategic asset.
Mentor and guide less experienced team members and data stewards to enhance team capabilities.
Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of governance strategies and data quality.
Ensure compliance with data regulations and support operational requirements within the business context.
Drive adoption and continuous improvement of master data management practices.

Requirements

At least 7 years of experience in data management, governance, or quality.
Demonstrated expertise in leading large-scale data management implementations.
Strong knowledge of data management frameworks and methodologies.
Proficiency in data governance tools and technologies, such as Collibra or similar.
Excellent ability to communicate and influence senior stakeholders.
Hands-on experience with modern cloud-based data platforms and architectures.
Familiarity with business intelligence tools, such as BusinessObjects Technologies.
Advanced skills in SQL and data analysis to support data-driven decision-making.
