Oracle Developer

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina (Onsite)

Duration: 12 months

Payrate: $60 - $65/hr on W2

Role Overview

Our organization is seeking a senior-level Oracle Developer to serve as a team lead. The selected individual will be responsible for mentoring and providing technical direction to a team of developers in delivering technology solutions. This role involves leading feature delivery, including the development of complex ETL/models in a data warehousing environment, and ensuring that systems design and requirements align with desired business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in status meetings to track progress, resolve issues, and mitigate risks.
  • Lead solution delivery by minimizing technical debt and adhering to design, engineering, and organizational practices.
  • Develop and implement enterprise data quality and data protection standards.
  • Act as a liaison for production activities and issues, mentoring the team on work breakdown and execution.
  • Oversee the continuous improvement of database scalability and performance.
  • Utilize versioning tools such as GIT/Bitbucket.
  • Set up automation jobs using Autosys.
  • Advocate for modern application development and deployment, including Agile, Automated Testing, and CI/CD.
  • Identify data anomalies and patterns in large datasets.
Required Qualifications

Experience: 6+ years of experience in Data Warehousing, including manipulation and transformation of large datasets. 6+ years of experience with relational database management systems (Oracle), including developing stored procedures, functions, and triggers. 6+ years of SQL and PL/SQL development experience with Oracle DBMS and VPD Security.

Technical Skills: Proficient with Oracle Database Platforms, particularly for large data domains. Experience with TOAD, Unix Shell Scripting, Autosys, Jira, and Microsoft Office Suite. Familiarity with Master Data Management (MDM) concepts, tools, and best practices. Must have experience with Java.

Preferred Qualifications
  • A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Experience with Enterprise HR data domains.
  • Technology development experience in the Financial Services or Banking industry.
  • Advanced experience in Unix Shell Scripts, Autosys, and TOAD for Oracle.
  • Working knowledge of Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and other Big Data Analytics technologies.
  • Experience with AI/ML tools and integration (e.g., Co-Pilot, ChatGPT, Claude).
  • Experience in Agile Scrum, DevOps, SAFe, or Disciplined Agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of data regulation and best practices in data management and governance.
