Solutions Architect (CPQ / Calypso)

Role Overview
A growing sales organization is transitioning to a new sales management system and requires a Solutions Architect to rebuild and enhance their existing CPQ/Calypso quoting platform. The current system is outdated, difficult for the sales team to use, and in need of significant performance improvements. The architect will take ownership of redesigning the platform to ensure it is scalable, secure, and aligned with internal customer needs.
This role is highly visible and directly impacts sales efficiency, system reliability, and revenue operations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical Ownership & Strategy
Develop the technical strategy for the CPQ rebuild, ensuring the platform is built for long‑term scalability rather than short‑term fixes. This requires true architectural leadership beyond basic configuration.
2. Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Partner closely with sales operations, product teams, and offshore engineering groups. Strong communication skills and the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements are essential.
3. Addressing Legacy Challenges
Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, improve system response times, and rebuild unstable workflows that currently slow down sales processes.
4. Future State Enablement
Support the transition into a new sales management system and ensure Calypso integrates cleanly with broader enterprise tools and future-state architecture.
5. High Visibility & Impact
This project has leadership attention due to its direct impact on revenue operations. The role requires strong ownership, accountability, and the ability to deliver measurable improvements.
