Job Description
We are seeking a SAP ABAP Solution Architect / Senior Technical Lead to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in SAP ABAP development, S/4HANA transformations, SAP BTP, Fiori/UI5, integrations, and enterprise application modernization and a proven ability to lead global development teams, define architecture standards, and deliver scalable, clean-core SAP solutions aligned to business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Define SAP technical architecture and development standards.
- Lead SAP S/4HANA transformation, upgrade, migration, and modernization programs.
- Provide architectural guidance for custom developments, integrations, and cloud extensions.
- Review and approve technical design documents, code quality standards, and development strategies.
- Collaborate with business, functional, and enterprise architecture teams.
- Design and develop complex SAP solutions using OO ABAP, ABAP on HANA, CDS Views, AMDP, RAP, OData, Fiori/UI5, Smart Forms/Adobe Forms, Enhancements, BADIs, User Exits, BAPIs, RFCs, ALE/IDOCs.
- Drive code optimization, performance tuning, and clean-core principles.
- Lead S/4HANA Greenfield, Brownfield, and Conversion projects and design cloud-native extensions on SAP BTP.
- Implement side-by-side and in-app extensibility aligned with SAP Clean Core strategy.
- Architect integrations with SAP and non-SAP systems, including APIs, REST/SOAP services, EDI/IDOC, and event-driven patterns.
- Partner with cloud, middleware, and enterprise integration teams.
- Lead and mentor global ABAP development teams and conduct design and code reviews with technical governance.
- Provide estimations, delivery planning, risk management, and status reporting.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 20+ years of SAP ABAP experience, including ABAP on HANA, RAP, CDS, OData, Workflow, and BRF+.
- Hands-on expertise with SAP S/4HANA and SAP BTP, Fiori/UI5, and SAP Integration Suite.
- Integration proficiency with IDOC, ALE, RFC, BAPI, and REST/SOAP APIs.
- Experience with SAP Cloud ALM and SAP Activate methodology.
- Functional exposure to MM, SD, PP, WM/EWM, LE, FI/CO, TM, and Ariba (preferred).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Relevant SAP certifications preferred.
- Proven experience leading global SAP transformation programs and governing delivery.
Preferred Skills:
- Leadership of 15-50 SAP consultants, executive stakeholder engagement, and Architecture Review Board participation.
- Vendor and SI management with program governance and delivery leadership.
