Position: Program Coordinator II / Media Analyst

Job Overview: Our client is seeking a skilled media analyst to join its Communications Measurement team. The role involves analyzing the impact of communications work across traditional press, social media, and owned channels. The ideal candidate will possess strong numeric and quantitative analysis skills and be fluent in both English and Spanish. This is a remote position requiring work in the PST timezone.
Responsibilities: - Read, analyze, and summarize media coverage of important issues.
- Inform the wider team on news cycles and policy issues domestically and internationally, providing local context.
- Create reports with media insights, including visualizations, to assess the impact of news cycles and inform future strategies.
- Support the communications team in developing meaningful success metrics for campaigns and initiatives across traditional media outlets, as well as owned, paid-for, and earned social media activity.
Qualifications: - 2+ years of experience in media analysis, research, journalism, communications, or related roles, or working for a media agency, media analysis firm, media measurement platform, or think tank.
- Fluency in Spanish is required.
- Experience owning multiple deliverables and working in a deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency in handling data sets and visualizing data; experience with tools like Brandwatch and Cision is a plus.
- Experience drafting messaging materials and writing news summaries is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Broadcast, Political Science, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience working with media monitoring tools.
- Experience carrying out measurement projects using data platforms to monitor media coverage and analyze social media conversations.
- Understanding of metrics and analytics within the media environment.

Pay Range: $30- $38/hr on W2
