Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Field Service Management (FSM) Consultant/ "Operator?" to address critical operational and technical challenges within our FSM environment. The ideal candidate will provide strategic and hands-on support to stabilize operations, resolve recurring issues, and optimize system performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Support & Stabilization
Act as the primary point of contact for FSM-related incidents and service requests.
Implement processes to manage ongoing operations effectively in the absence of a dedicated operations team.
Reduce the incident backlog (currently 50+ open cases) through prioritization and hands on resolution.
Root Cause Analysis & Problem Management
Investigate and identify the underlying cause of recurring FSM-connector breakdowns, unresolved for 18+ months.
Develop and implement permanent fixes to prevent future disruptions.
Performance Optimization
Analyze and resolve performance issues and slowness in the FSM application.
Recommend and implement system tuning and configuration improvements.
Issue Management
Address a wide range of issues beyond connector breakdowns, from minor bugs to major system failures.
Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure timely resolution.
Process Improvement
Provide knowledge transfer and documentation to internal teams for sustainable operations.
Hands on training and "pair programming" with two junior FSM consultants to enable them to work independently
Required Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in SAP FSM operations.
Expertise in connector troubleshooting, integration points, and middleware.
Solid understanding of performance tuning and application optimization in SAP FSM
Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a high-pressure environment.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
