Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java AWS Developer with Amazon Connect experience to design, develop, integrate, and support cloud-based contact center solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, microservices, AWS, Amazon Connect, serverless technologies, APIs, and cloud-native application development.
The candidate will work closely with architecture, product, DevOps, QA, and business teams to build scalable and secure customer engagement solutions using Amazon Connect and the broader AWS ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices.
- Design and implement integrations with Amazon Connect and AWS services.
- Develop and customize Amazon Connect Contact Flows, IVR, queues, routing profiles, and customer interaction workflows.
- Integrate Amazon Connect with AWS Lambda, Amazon Lex, S3, DynamoDB, API Gateway, Kinesis, CloudWatch, and IAM.
- Develop RESTful APIs and backend services for contact-center applications.
- Build serverless applications using AWS Lambda and event-driven architectures.
- Develop Java-based microservices deployed on AWS.
- Implement integrations between Amazon Connect and enterprise applications, CRM platforms, databases, and third-party APIs.
- Develop conversational experiences using Amazon Lex and integrate them with Amazon Connect.
- Implement customer and agent workflows, call routing, IVR logic, and automated self-service capabilities.
- Design highly available, scalable, fault-tolerant cloud solutions.
- Develop secure applications using AWS IAM, encryption, authentication, authorization, and security best practices.
- Troubleshoot application, API, AWS, and Amazon Connect integration issues.
- Monitor applications and cloud infrastructure using Amazon CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and AWS monitoring tools.
- Write unit, integration, and automated tests and participate in code reviews.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines for Java and AWS applications.
- Work with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation for Infrastructure as Code.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate application deployment and infrastructure provisioning.
- Analyze production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and work closely with distributed engineering teams.
- Prepare technical documentation, architecture diagrams, deployment documentation, and operational runbooks.
Required Skills
- 7+ years of software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java 8/11/17+.
- Strong experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
- Experience developing REST APIs and microservices.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
- Strong experience with Amazon Connect.
- Experience with Amazon Connect Contact Flows and IVR.
- Experience with AWS Lambda and serverless architecture.
- Experience with Amazon API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, CloudWatch, IAM, and SNS/SQS.
- Experience with Amazon Lex is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architecture.
- Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
- Experience with NoSQL databases, preferably DynamoDB.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Experience with Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, or similar tools.
- Experience with Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and performance-tuning skills.
