IT Infrastructure Project Manager (Contract-to-Hire)
Location: Columbus, OH (Hybrid – 3 days onsite) - MUST CURRENTLY RESIDE IN COLUMBUS, OHIO REGION
Rate: $60/hour
Duration: 6-month contract with potential for full-time conversion

Overview

A large enterprise organization in the Columbus area is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Project Manager to lead a high-visibility technology initiative focused on network and infrastructure modernization. This role will work within the IT Project Management Office (PMO) and partner with engineering teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to deliver complex infrastructure projects from planning through implementation.

The ideal candidate has experience managing enterprise technology projects, coordinating cross-functional technical teams, and driving delivery across multiple workstreams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the full project lifecycle including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure for infrastructure and network-related initiatives.

• Coordinate technical teams responsible for network, infrastructure, and security implementations.

• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and milestones while ensuring alignment with project scope and objectives.

• Manage project risks, issues, and dependencies while communicating progress and status to leadership and stakeholders.

• Facilitate collaboration between internal IT teams, business stakeholders, and external vendors.

• Oversee project documentation including requirements, schedules, status reporting, and implementation plans.

• Ensure successful delivery of projects related to infrastructure upgrades, network improvements, and enterprise technology deployments.

• Drive effective communication across project teams and leadership to ensure transparency and alignment.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing IT infrastructure or technical projects in an enterprise environment.

• Experience managing projects involving network, infrastructure, or data center technologies.

• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and project lifecycle management.

• Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and external vendors.

• Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced technical environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within an IT PMO environment.

• PMP or other project management certification.

• Experience managing projects involving network modernization, cloud, or infrastructure transformation initiatives.

Work Environment

• Hybrid work schedule (3 days onsite in the Columbus area).
