Summary

Job Description

Aramark Facilities Management is hiring a Maintenance Worker / Building Maintenance Technician in Morrisville, NC to help keep commercial facilities operating safely and efficiently. This hands-on role is responsible for responding to maintenance requests, completing preventive maintenance tasks, and supporting building systems including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical equipment. You will work with hand tools, ladders, and facility maintenance systems to troubleshoot issues, make repairs, and coordinate with vendors on more complex projects. This position is ideal for a reliable maintenance technician, facilities maintenance worker, building engineer, or handyman who enjoys solving problems and working independently. A key part of the role includes performing monthly maintenance on rooftop HVAC equipment and safely working at heights when required.

Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm (w/ occassional overtime)

Pay Range: $20.00 to $25.00 per hour

Job Responsibilities

? Respond to and complete routine building maintenance work orders and service requests.
? Perform preventive maintenance tasks generated through the Preventive Maintenance (PM) system.
? Troubleshoot and repair basic building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, doors, windows, fixtures, and office equipment.
? Conduct routine inspections of building equipment and facility spaces to identify maintenance needs before they become larger problems.
? Complete daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance checklists and documentation.
? Perform monthly rooftop HVAC maintenance, including changing filters and inspecting equipment.
? Safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, and maintenance equipment to complete repairs and maintenance activities.
? Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors to address specialized or complex maintenance issues.
? Report major repair needs and recommend corrective actions to facility leadership.
? Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while following all company safety procedures and PPE requirements.
? Interact professionally with building occupants, clients, vendors, and team members.

Qualifications

Required
? Minimum 2 years of building maintenance, facilities maintenance, property maintenance, industrial maintenance, or related experience.
? Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
? Experience using common maintenance hand tools and repair equipment.
? Ability to safely work on ladders and perform maintenance on rooftop equipment.
? Ability to diagnose and resolve routine facility maintenance issues with minimal supervision.
? Availability to work Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with occasional overtime when needed.
? Ability to lift, bend, climb, push, pull, walk, and stand for extended periods.
? Strong communication skills and commitment to workplace safety.
Preferred
? Previous experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) or Preventive Maintenance (PM) system.
? Experience working in commercial, institutional, healthcare, manufacturing, or facilities management environments.
? Trade school training, maintenance certifications, or additional technical training in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing.
