Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Developer to design, develop, and enhance enterprise CRM solutions within a State Government agency. This role involves building scalable Salesforce applications, customizing workflows, and integrating external systems to support complex agency operations. The selected candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical designs while ensuring compliance with data governance and security standards. The ideal resource will demonstrate hands-on expertise in Apex development, Lightning components, and API integrations. Experience working in regulated or government environments is strongly preferred. This role requires strong documentation discipline, secure coding practices, and the ability to deliver within structured change management processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop Apex classes, triggers, and Lightning Web Components to support business workflows.
  • Configure custom objects, workflows, validation rules, and approval processes within Salesforce.
  • Develop REST and SOAP integrations to connect Salesforce with internal and external systems.
  • Perform data migration activities using Data Loader and ETL tools while ensuring data integrity.
  • Implement role-based access controls and maintain security compliance standards.
  • Optimize Salesforce performance and resolve production issues through root cause analysis.
  • Participate in sprint planning and backlog refinement sessions.
  • Collaborate with business analysts to convert functional requirements into technical solutions.
  • Maintain technical documentation including design specifications and deployment plans.
  • Support system testing, user acceptance testing, and post-production validation.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience.
  • Demonstrated experience building Apex and Lightning Web Components.
  • Experience developing secure integrations using REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Proven ability to configure complex workflows and automation rules.
  • Experience implementing Salesforce security models and role hierarchies.
  • Experience managing releases using CI/CD tools.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex production defects.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce Platform Developer certification.
  • Experience supporting State Government or public sector implementations.
  • Experience integrating Salesforce with ERP or .NET applications.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices within Salesforce ecosystems.
