OverviewTEKsystems is seeking an IT Support Specialist for one of our partners based out of Erlanger, KY. This role is responsible for documenting, managing, and assisting in the resolution of technical support requests related to hardware, software, and operational systems. The position supports both IT and operational environments, ensuring users receive timely and effective assistance.
Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Support- Receive and respond to support requests via phone, email, or other communication channels
- Assist users with issues related to hardware, software, installations, and system access
- Troubleshoot basic technical problems and provide initial resolution where possible
- Escalate complex issues to higher-level support teams as needed
- Follow up with users to confirm issue resolution and satisfaction
- Log, track, and document all user interactions and support activities
Technical Operations- Provide onsite and remote support for hardware and software issues
- Troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of technical problems within the existing infrastructure
- Research and analyze issues to deliver accurate and timely resolutions while maintaining ownership
- Enter and update support tickets in a timely and organized manner
- Assist with asset tracking and inventory management
- Support updates and maintenance of applications and systems as required
Administration- Maintain clear and detailed documentation of issues, resolutions, and processes
- Categorize and prioritize support requests based on impact and urgency
- Follow established procedures, standards, and service guidelines
- Participate in shift rotations or on-call support as required to support continuous operations
- Adhere to data privacy, security, and confidentiality requirements
Team Contribution- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate support efforts
- Contribute to a culture of service, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Perform additional duties as needed to support team objectives
Qualifications- Associate's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 0-3 years of experience in technical support, help desk, or a related area
- Entry-level candidates with relevant training or coursework may be considered

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $23.00/hr.
