Privacy Analyst

Description

• Conduct privacy risk assessments (PIAs/DPIAs) to evaluate how personal data is collected, used, stored, and shared
• Advise internal stakeholders on privacy risk mitigation strategies aligned with regulatory and internal requirements
• Support and enhance the organization's Privacy and Compliance Programs, including privacy-by-design initiatives
• Partner closely with IT, Legal, Infosec, Procurement, Data, and business teams to ensure data handling practices meet privacy standards
• Document assessment outcomes, risks, and remediation actions, ensuring consistency and audit readiness

Skills & Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of experience conducting privacy risk assessments, including PIAs and/or DPIAs
• Strong understanding of privacy laws, regulations, and frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, internal privacy standards)
• Ability to translate regulatory and compliance requirements into practical, business-friendly guidance
• Proven analytical skills with high attention to detail and strong documentation capabilities
• Experience partnering cross-functionally with teams such as IT, Legal, Infosec, Data, Procurement, and business stakeholders
• Familiarity with privacy-related terminology and compliance concepts (e.g., data minimization, lawful basis, vendor risk)
• Experience supporting third-party or vendor privacy assessments
• Exposure to data governance, information security, or enterprise risk management programs
• Ability to manage multiple assessments simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort influencing stakeholders and acting as a change agent for privacy initiatives

This is a Contract position based out of New York, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
