Equipment Technician - Bilingual

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's engineering manufacturing client in Mesa, AZ is seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician to support production equipment reliability and minimize downtime. This role works directly with the hiring manager and offers hands-on exposure to advanced industrial equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. We are seeking technicians that are both proficient in Mandarin Chinese and English.

Key Responsibilities
* Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on conveyor systems and production machinery
* Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and process control issues to minimize downtime
* Set up, tear down, and assist with installation, repair, fabrication, and construction of plant equipment
* Diagnose equipment issues using observation, testing instruments, and precision measurement tools
* Remove and replace defective components using hoists, hand tools, and power tools
* Utilize PLC systems for troubleshooting, repair, and calibration of process controls
* Work with data acquisition systems and test instrumentation (PCs, PLCs, CMMs, etc.)
* Support preventive maintenance programs and communicate best practices to production teams
* Assist with welding and fabrication for processing and packaging equipment
* Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment with a sense of urgency
* Complete required training and assist with mentoring junior maintenance staff
* Adhere to all PPE and safety requirements

Perform advanced maintenance tasks, including:
* Reading mechanical schematics
* Shaft cutting and keying, sprocket broaching, gear head replacement
* Stainless steel welding and metal fabrication
* Hydraulic hose assembly and conveyor belt lacing

REQUIREMENTS:
* High School diploma or equivalent required; 2 year technical degree preferred
* 3-5 years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience
* Strong mechanical aptitude with basic to advanced electrical and building skills
* Experience reading and interpreting safety documents, schematics, and maintenance manuals
* Proficient in English and Mandarin Chinese
* Comfortable working overtime, weekends, and flexible shifts as needed
* Ability to complete work orders and enter documentation electronically
* Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unaided
* Team-oriented with strong communication skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
