Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled PeopleSoft HR Developer with hands-on experience in on-premise environments, specifically supporting the Benefits module within PeopleSoft HCM. This role requires expertise in configuration, customization, and support using PeopleTools 8.58.03 and HCM PUM Image 34. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing Benefits Administration, Base Benefits, and related integrations, ensuring smooth HR operations and compliance with benefits regulations.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure and develop PeopleSoft HCM applications, with a focus on Benefits Administration and Base Benefits, using PeopleTools 8.58.03 and PUM 34.
  • Support and enhance Open Enrollment, Life Events, eligibility rules, event maintenance, and dependent benefit elections.
  • Customize delivered PeopleSoft functionality as needed, including Application Engine, PeopleCode, Component Interfaces, SQR, and Integration Broker.
  • Design, develop, and maintain inbound/outbound vendor file integrations using XML, flat files, and secure transfer protocols.
  • Partner with HR and Benefits teams to gather requirements and implement scalable technical solutions.
  • Troubleshoot complex system issues, perform root cause analysis, and deliver effective solutions in a timely manner.
  • Participate in PeopleSoft upgrades, tax updates, patching, and retrofitting of customizations aligned with Tools 8.58.03 and PUM 34.
  • Perform unit testing, system testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Maintain technical documentation, including configuration workbooks, design specifications, and test scripts.
  • Ensure compliance with ACA, COBRA, and HIPAA regulations in system design and functionality.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with PeopleSoft HCM in an on-premise environment.
  • 3+ years of experience specifically with the Benefits Administration and Base Benefits modules.
  • Proficiency with PeopleTools 8.58.03 and PUM Image 34 (or closely related versions).
  • Strong development skills in PeopleCode, Application Engine, Application Packages, Component Interfaces, and SQR.
  • Experience configuring Benefits Eligibility Rules, Event Rules, and Open Enrollment setup.
  • Solid understanding of vendor interface files and benefits-related compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency with SQL and familiarity with Oracle RDBMS.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a secure, change-managed environment (e.g., PHIRE, STAT).
  • Familiarity with Benefits interfaces to vendors such as Aetna, Fidelity, or similar.
  • Previous experience with PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM) and applying selective adoption updates.
  • Background in supporting high-volume Benefits Open Enrollment cycles in a large enterprise.
